The old temple Wat Mahathat built up during the stay of King Rama I. Located near the Thammasat University on the Prathat Road. The Wat Mahathat houses meditation classes for foreigners and a Buddhist University; 'the Maha Chulalongkorn Buddhist University'. The highest university of learning Buddhism in Thailand.
